These draft terms apply to Smallprint.

What Smallprint is

Smallprint is a planning and record-keeping tool. It drafts procedures from your answers, helps you share them with your team, and keeps dated records.

What Smallprint is not

• It is not legal advice, and it does not tell you what the law requires of your venue. The scope checker gives an indication based on published Home Office guidance, not a ruling.
• It does not certify, approve or guarantee that a venue complies with the Act or any other law, and it does not predict how the regulator will view your records.
• It is not a risk assessment or a substitute for a qualified security adviser.
• It does not cover the extra duties for premises of 800 or more people.

Your responsibilities

You remain the responsible person under the Act. You must check that what you adopt suits your building, keep your details accurate, and keep staff links private.

Changes to the law

The law and guidance may change before and after it comes into force. We aim to update Smallprint but cannot promise it is always current. Content shows the date it was last checked.
